Self-Catering in Memanat Farmhouse

The stone built farmhouse dates from 1679 and features traditional Creusois architecture. It has been sympathetically restored to retain as many of the original features as possible without compromising the comforts of modern living.

The farmhouse will accommodate 12 people plus infants and is centrally heated. There is wireless internet access (WiFi) available in the chateau.

On the ground floor the main Lounge features open oak beams, a large granite fireplace with a wood burning stove and a traditional bread oven.

The large Dining room and Kitchen are open plan with the kitchen fully equipped and fitted with a large range style gas cooker, fridge/freezer, dish-washer and microwave oven. The dining area seats at least 12 people. There is also a Laundry room/ WC on the ground floor.

On the 1st floor there is a second sitting room with TV and video. There is 1 bedroom with a king size bed and room for a single bed/cot if required, 1 bedroom with a king size bed and 1 bedroom with twin single beds. There is 1 bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC, 1 shower room with a large shower and WC, and a third washroom with WC.

On the 2nd floor there are 2 large family bedrooms, each with 3 single beds.

Outside:

The farmhouse has a private outside dining and barbecue area close to the swimming pool. The leisure area overlooks the park and contains the swimming pool and childrens swings. It is ideal for sunbathing or for just enjoying the view with a glass of wine. Garden furniture and barbecue facility are provided and there is also full access to the park, river and woodland walks.

Extended groups: It is ideal to combine both gites for extended groups as the farmhouse dining room can seat 16. This has been an important consideration with our previous clients so that entertaining is all in one place. The farmhouse also has 3 reception rooms; the lounge, dining room and a separate TV room allowing the extended party to split into natural groups.
